A Little About Amanda WolffCategory I compete in: Figure A Sports background: I have played basketball and volleyball for 16 years. I was involved with long distance track for 10 years. Why figure? I used to think I was in great shape. It took until I was tipping the scales at 155 lbs to tell myself that I wasn’t healthy. I began dieting and following a strict workout, and loved the way I had control over my body. Being able to see hard work developing is the most rewarding part of figure building, and keeping the mentality that there are always improvements to be made keeps me motivated. What do you like best about competing? I love the atmosphere! The competitors are friendly, encouraging, and are there to help. I love that so many people come together to share their love of the sport. With that much dedication in the room, it’s hard not to love it! It’s not easy or fun at times, and it takes a lot of dedication. Ava Cowen has always been my inspiration. I watch her videos every day. Favorite Cheat Food: Tortilla chips with queso dip, or frozen yogurt with Snickers bars and brownie bites on top. Anything with carbs I would consider a favorite cheat. Favorite Diet Food: Mahi mahi with ghost pepper hot sauce. Yum! Favorite Body Part to train: Triceps and biceps. I’d like to thank genetics for that one. Least favorite body part to train: Legs!! Hobbies: Aside from lifting, I enjoy boxing, bike rides, rollerblading…any outdoor activity. Inside, you will find me reading or watching B-rated horror movies on Netflix, they keep me laughing. I also love cooking and trying new recipes. Words to live by: Nothing splendid has been achieved, except by those who dared believe that something inside of them was superior to circumstance. |
